The Ministry of Youth and Sports will mark International Youth Day with a youth exhibition, sports demonstrations and a concert in Sofia. The events will take place in South Park 2, on the stage of Sofia Summer Fest and the space around it on August 12 from 4 pm to 10 pm. The entrance will be free, the Ministry said on Friday.

The celebration will start with an exhibition of youth organizations, which will have the opportunity to present their activities and engage in a discussion with experts from the Ministry and Sofia Municipality related to youth policies in the country. For sports lovers, break dance, wushu and zumba demonstrations will take place. Visitors can also take part in outdoor badminton and wushu training, as well as have fun with board games. The celebration will end with a concert with the participation of the band Ostava and Papi Hans.

In 1999, the UN General Assembly declared August 12 as International Youth Day. The Ministry of Youth and Sports promotes this date by organizing events aimed at young people in Bulgaria.
