site.btaPM Zhelyazkov Asks Finance Minister to Clarify Inflation Data

At the beginning of the Council of Ministers' meeting on Wednesday, Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov asked Finance Minister Temenuzhka Petkova to clarify the inflation data in the country.

Minister Petkova is expected to give a briefing later in the day and, in the words of Prime Minister Zhelyazkov, "clarify some issues that give rise to misunderstanding in the media space regarding inflation and data of the National Statistical Institute."

Minister Petkova is also expected to give more information on the EUR 3.2 billion of bonds placed on international markets by the Ministry.

On Tuesday, the National Statistical Institute reported that monthly inflation in Bulgaria in June 2025 stood at 0.4%, while annual inflation reached 4.4%.
