Balkan-Ukrainian defence industries forum was held in Plovdiv on Friday, the Defence Ministry said in a press release. The event was organized with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Bulgaria. It was part of the 16th International Defence Equipment and Services Exhibition "HEMUS 2024", which is taking place between June 5 and 8 at the International Fair in Plovdiv.

The Bulgarian-Ukrainian forum was attended by caretaker Deputy Defence Minister Adelina Nikolova and Deputy Economy and Industry minister David Sukalinski. Attending were also Ukrainian Ambassador to Bulgaria Olesya Ilashchuk, Ukrainian Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries Serhii Boev, Ukrainian Deputy Defence Minister Dmytro Klimenkov, Ukrainian Defence Industry Director General Herman Smetanin, as well as representatives of the Bulgarian and Ukrainian defence industries.

The Hemus 2024 International Defence Exhibition is held under the patronage of the Defence Ministry of Defence and the Economy and Industry Ministry. The Hemus-95 Foundation is organizer of the defence exhibition.
