A total of BGN 2,616 is the net cost of living for a family of three - two working adults and one child under 14, Confederation of Independent Trade Unions of Bulgaria (CITUB) President Plamen Dimitrov said on Monday at a press conference in Sofia. He presented data of the Consumer Price and Living Wage Observation of the Institute for Social and Trade Union Research, Education and Training (ISTURET) as of March 2024.

The subsistence income grew by 1.1% on a quarterly basis and by 4.3% on an annual basis, Dimitrov noted. He added that between March 2023 and March 2024, the cost of living rose by BGN 107 for a family of three and by BGN 60 for a single person.
