The engineering company Kyashif marked its 40th anniversary with the unveiling of a plant here on Tuesday. President Rumen Radev, who attended the event, praised the company for being an example of technological development, innovativeness, openness to the world and good interaction with the local government.
Radev shared that he was surprised to find Dzhebel being able to host the development of a world-class industry. He congratulated the company owners for running a successful business. "Your activity contributes to solving the deep demographic crisis - the big problem of our time. Overcoming it requires balanced regional development, resolving severe regional imbalances, and you prove that high-tech industry can be developed not only in Sofia, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, but also in small remote municipalities, such as Dzhebel," the President said.
Kyashif produces hydraulic cylinders. The founder of the company, Kyashif Kyashif, told guests at the event that 99% of the company's production gets exported to the European market. Kyashif now manages three plants in Dzhebel that employ some 600 workers, who produce 1,500 cylinders a day. A fourth plant is already under construction.
