There is a clear stabilization of the electricity market - not only in Bulgaria, but also on a European scale, caretaker Energy Minister Rossen Hristov said on Nova TV's morning show. "I expect the trend to continue and there is no reason for electricity prices to be out of the normal range. Gas prices have also stabilized both in Bulgaria and on world exchanges," he added.
Hristov pointed out tht the moment of panic that was created last year over the possibility of no gas supply has now been overcome. "So I expect a stable market in the coming months," he noted.
The Energy Minister said prices of finished goods are also expected to stabilize within a few months. "The Economy Ministry is working on this issue. This is a problem in many countries - certain business structures are seizing the opportunity and are using the momentum of the crisis to accumulate excess profits," Hristov stated.
