On May 9, Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev visited Lviv together with his counterparts from EU member states, where he took part in an informal Foreign Affairs Council, Georgiev's ministry on Friday. The top diplomats of European countries visited Ukraine in a demonstration of EU's unwavering support and solidarity towards Kyiv.
The ministers discussed continuation of assistance to Ukraine, as well as an upcoming ministerial meeting of the Coalition of States on the establishment of a Special Tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine as an important political step. After more than two years of coordinated work and the finalization of key draft legal instruments, the summit announced the political launch of the process to establish the Special Tribunal and reaffirmed the commitment of the participating states to ensure that perpetrators of crimes of aggression in Ukraine are held accountable.
