Caretaker Minister of Agriculture Yavor Gechev told reporters in Plovdiv on Saturday that he will put forward a proposal to the Bulgarian government to lift the national ban on imports from Ukraine, considering the European Commission's (EC) decision on Ukrainian agrifood imports. Gechev clarified that until June 5, the EC introduces a ban on imports of five crops, including sunflower, corn and rapeseed.
