A next-generation STEM centre worth over BGN 252,000 has been established at the Vocational School of Agriculture (PGSS) in Lukovit, the school’s Principal Antoaneta Necheva said on Wednesday. The project is funded under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. Of the total amount, just over BGN 210,000 were provided through the Recovery and Resilience Facility, with the remainder being national co-financing.
Necheva noted that the new STEM centre is an innovative space designed to offer opportunities for learning, research, and experimentation in line with modern education standards. The initiative is the result of consistent efforts to modernize the educational environment and ensure high-quality learning that meets the needs of today’s students and the challenges of the future.
The centre includes dedicated zones for experimentation, design, research, and creative activities, equipped with high-tech instruments, modern computer systems, interactive devices, and innovative educational tools.
The new STEM space will enable interdisciplinary lessons, project-based learning, and collaborative initiatives that foster critical thinking, teamwork, and practical skills among students.
