An exhibition of felts by Hungarian artist Csenge Diviki-Nagy and textiles by Bulgaria’s Ira RZ has been arranged at the Liszt Institute in Sofia. The Inner Garden exhibition will be on display from April 26 until June 30, the organizers said.

"Csenge Diviki-Nagy's felted carpets and Ira RZ's intricate textile installations evoke nature. Often, we seem to have lost touch with our natural environment - the works presented in the Inner Garden exhibition attempt to bring the beauty and diversity of plants back into our lives," the team says.

Tradition and culture are sinking into oblivion, the problem is poor quality synthetic materials and a lack of self-expression. The solution to this is the works of Csenge Diviki-Nagy, which appeal to nature, bringing the tranquillity of being in touch with it into our homes.

As a textile artist, Ira RZ not only has mastered the technical intricacies of the craft but also exhibits a keen sensitivity to the stories woven into textures and colours. She draws inspiration from everyday life, personal experiences, nature and the richness of human relationships, the team notes.

Csenge Diviki-Nagy was born in 2000 in Hungary. She graduated from MOME University of Art and Design in 2024. She works with everyday textiles that reproduce traditional techniques in a contemporary way, and with which she creates sustainable carpets and textiles from natural fabrics.

Ira Zhivkova a.k.a. Ira RZ was born in 1999 in Sofia. She is a textile artist. She graduated with a BA in Textile Art and Design and an MA in Textile Design from the National Academy of Arts, Sofia.
