Bulgarian competitors captured a silver and a bronze medal at the 2025 Aerobic Gymnastics World Cup in Tokyo on Sunday.

Reigning trio champions Antonio Papazov, Borislava Ivanova and Hristo Manolov placed second with 19.207 points, finishing behind the Chinese team on 19.700.

Ivanova then earned bronze in the women’s individual event, scoring 18.850 points in a field of 25. France’s Maelys Lenclos won gold with 19.000.

Ivanova and Manolov finished fourth in mixed pairs with 18.950 points. They had the same score as the couples ranked third and fifth but missed out on a podium place due to a lower artistry score.

More than 130 athletes from 19 nations took part in the 34th World Cup. Bulgaria’s judge was Aerobics Union chair Dimitrina Kandeva, while FIG technical-committee member Desislava Bogusheva served as the federation’s delegate.
