A photographic exhibition called Europe Close to Me opened on Friday, August 30, at the Lovers Bridge next to the National Palace of Culture in central Sofia.

The exhibition presents the results of a project of the same name, organized by the representation of the European Commission for Bulgaria in partnership with the National Academy of Art. It aims to show the benefits of Bulgaria's membership in the European Union and the results achieved with the support of the EU's cohesion policy.

"The exhibition represents a kind of journey through dozens of large and small settlements throughout the country, where projects implemented under the cohesion policy of the European Union come to life through their residents and guests," noted the National Academy of Art.

The exhibition, which can be seen until September 24, includes pictures from Karina Popova, Ivan Stefanov, Yulia Lilova, Yavor Iliev and Ivan Vechev. The coordinators of the project are Prof Ivan Kyuranov, Prof Rosen Toshev and Assistant Gennady Gatev.
