Vidin will host The River Art Festival from June 28 to July 1, which will turn it into a city of arts, said the Municipality on its website on Tuesday. 

During the four day festival, residents of Vidin and guests of the city will have the opportunity to participate in the balloon fiesta, where a panoramic ascent with a hot air balloon will reveal an incredible view of the Danube River and the Baba Vida Fortress. An art bazaar will also be opened, offering products, goods and souvenirs of Bulgarian artisans and producers.

The programme will include a light show with a combination of music, light effects and 3D mapping on the Day of the Danube River, which is celebrated on June 29. The Male-Male and Vidin State Puppet Theatres will prepare programmes for children, while adult theatre lovers will be able to enjoy Murder in the First Class directed by Evgeni Budinov, and Game for Two written by Ivo Siromahov and starring Sasho Kadiev.

The organizers of the festival are Vidin Municipality and Event Masters. Entrance will be free for all events except for the balloon flights, where advance booking is required.
