Actress Maria Stefanova won the award for Best Female Role at the National Festival of Small Theatre Forms, said the organizers from the Vratsa Drama and Puppet Theatre on Monday.

The Best Male Role Award went to Milko Yovchev for the one-man show List of All Great Things at the Valentin Stoychev Theatre in Sofia. The award for Scenography and Costumes was presented to Vasil Abadjiev for his work in Vincent in Brixton at the same theatre. The production also won the award for Best Ensemble.

Vladlen Alexandrov, Director of the Vratsa Drama and Puppet Theatre, said that this year's edition of the festival exceeded expectations. "We thank all participants and guests for their support and inspiration. We look forward to the next edition, which promises to be even more exciting and memorable," he said.

The festival was held in Vratsa between June 10 to 16. The programme included 14 productions selected by Miroslava Todorova, Dina Markova and Blagoi Boychev. At the end of the festival, the award winners were determined by a jury including prominent theatre critics and experts Prof Kalina Stefanova, Ave Ivanova and Vladimir Petkov.
