Belogradchik is hosting an international traveling watercolor symposium, said organizer and sponsor Plamen Miryanov on Tuesday. Miryanov's foundation, "Our Home is Bulgaria", aims to popularize beautiful places in Bulgaria and affirm national traditions, added Elena Dzhuninska, curator at the Belogradchik Art Gallery.

For four days, artists from Sweden, Greece, Italy, Spain, Serbia, South Korea, India, Mexico and Bulgaria will create works among the Belogradchik rocks, which will then find a place in the exhibition during the next visits to different Bulgarian cities and around the world. Thus, the international artists will become ambassadors of Belogradchik and its unique nature and history, said Dzhuninska.

The symposium was opened with an exhibition, "Watercolors from Three Continents". Its initiator is Krasi Todorov and it is organized with the assistance of the IWS - Bulgaria foundation.
