Bulgarian artist and icon painter Dian Kostov will be transforming the largest basilica in Brussels with his exhibition/installation titled "Crossroad - the Price of Choice", his team said.

Seventeen-metre-high images depicting scenes from the lives of Jesus Christ and the Holy Virgin will adorn the facade of the National Basilica of the Sacred Heart between June 15 and August 18. They will be mounted at a height of 52 metres as part of the second edition of the exhibition/installation by the Bulgarian artist.

The exhibition was first presented at Vienna’s Votivkirche cathedral in 2023 at the invitation of its priest, Joseph Farrugia. More than 22,000 people from 37 nationalities visited the exhibition in the Austrian capital.

In Brussels, "Crossroad - the Price of Choice" will offer visitors an even more spectacular experience, making the most of the indoor and outdoor space, according to Kostov’s team.

All the images in the exhibition will be mounted so as not to damage the interior and exterior of the basilica. Only wooden, rubber, and silicone clips will be used in the installation.
