site.btaBulgaria, Poland to Expand Cooperation in Cybersecurity


Meeting with Krzysztof Gawkowski Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs of Poland, Bulgarian Electronic Governance Minister Valentin Mundrov said that Bulgaria and Poland, as EU member states, must deepen their cooperation in cybersecurity, as well as in building resilient systems against cyberthreats, Mundrov’s Ministry said Monday.
The two officials discussed the potential for close cooperation in developing a mobile application and a digital wallet for citizens. They agreed that coordinated efforts are needed to introduce innovative solutions that place citizens and businesses at the center of administrative services.
According to Minister Mundrov, the Ministry is actively working to make life easier for citizens and businesses by integrating data from various registers so that information is retrieved automatically when a service is requested.
The Minister presented to the Polish Deputy Prime Minister the eHealth mobile application, which provides secure and convenient access to personal electronic health records at any time and from anywhere. Minister Mundrov added that services available in the mobile application are continuously upgraded in cooperation with doctors and experts from the Health Ministry.
The two ministers said that a priority for both ministries is the digitalization of the administration, the elimination of paper-based document flow, and the enhancement of e-services provided by the state.
