The average monthly temperature in March will be around or above the norm, which is between 5C and 7C in Northern Bulgaria and high plains, between 6C to 9C at the coast and in Southern Bulgaria, and between minus 8C and minus 2C in the mountains. The lows in March will be between minus 7C and minus 2C, while the highs will reach 22C to 27C, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology said.

March will start with mostly cloudy weather, rain showers in most of the country, and snow in the mountains above 1,200 m. The temperatures will rise closer to March 10.

The period between March 10 and 20 will be warmer than usual for this time of the year, with rain showers across Bulgaria.

From March 20 to 25, the weather will be mostly sunny, with temperatures around or above the usual for March. There will be higher precipitation between March 25 and 31.
