site.btaTrakia University Welcomes Delegation from China University of Science and Technology

The research team of Prof Liu Guijian from the University of Science and Technology of China visited Trakia University in Stara Zagora on Thursday to participate in an academic exchange, said the press centre of the Bulgarian university.

The Chinese university specializes in the field of environmental geochemistry and has significant experience in environmental management and pollution control. The scientists held meetings with the management of Trakia University, led by Rector Dobri Yarkov, and lecturers from the Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine Faculty.

The guests also visited the scientific laboratory for Bioorganic Chemistry at the Veterinary Medicine Faculty, the Central Research Laboratory, as well as the laboratory of the Agriculture Faculty.

The visit aims to promote cooperation between the two institutions, focusing on environmental geochemistry and sustainable development. The two-day exchange marks the beginning of future cooperation between Trakia University and one of the most prestigious universities in China, which is among the top five in Asian rankings for science and education.
