The Sofia Regional Prosecution Office said on Thursday that it has submitted to the Sofia Regional Court an indictment against Lena Borislavova MP of Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria for knowingly producing documents bearing forged signatures in the period between May 13, 2021 and May 14, 2021.

In January 2025 Borislavova waived her immunity after a supervising prosecutor of the Sofia Regional Prosecution Office approached Parliament with a request, arguing that sufficient evidence had been collected during the pre-trial proceedings to hold her criminally liable for a document offence.

In April 2024, it transpired that the Save Koral environmental organization was under investigation after a tip-off about false information that Borislavova allegedly emailed to the Registry Agency concerning the discharge of CC co-leader Kiril Petkov from the organization's Governing Board. The investigation found that in May 2021 Borislavova "knowingly used forged private documents, which were made to appear as if the signatures on them had been affixed by members of the Save Koral organization, when in fact they had not been," the prosecution service said in a statement, specifying that she cannot be held criminally liable for the actual drafting of the documents.
