Bulgaria will receive CHF 92.5 million under the Swiss-Bulgarian Cooperation Programme, which was officially launched on Tuesday, the Ministry of Innovation and Growth announced on its official website on Wednesday.

During the opening ceremony, Deputy PM and Innovation and Growth Minister Tomislav Donchev emphasized that the Swiss-Bulgarian Cooperation Programme has become a benchmark for quality, high added value, and meaningful investments that perfectly align with other funding instruments. "All eleven programs under the Swiss-Bulgarian Cooperation Programme are of undeniable and exceptional importance to our society: science, innovation, environmental protection, migration management, strengthening social systems, and civic engagement," Donchev added.

Addressing the event, Swiss Ambassador to Bulgaria Raymund Furrer also described the launch as a significant milestone in the cooperation between the two countries. "This programme is yet another part of our long-standing excellent partnership. There will be challenges, but with determination and good cooperation, we will achieve our goals," he emphasized.

During the opening, an agreement was signed for the Health and Education for All (ZOV 2.0) Programme, with a total budget of CHF 9.4 million. The programme aims to support the most vulnerable social groups, promoting their social inclusion by improving access to integrated services. ZOV 2.0 will build upon and further amplify the high achievements of its predecessor, ZOV 1.0.

Education and Science Minister Krasimir Valchev described the Swiss financial support under the agreement as timely, relevant, and effective.

The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, international institutions, state structures, and non-governmental organizations.
