As of 9:00 a.m. on Monday, December 30, a total of 2,549 households across the territories of Bulgaria's three electricity distribution companies are still without power, caretaker Energy Minister Vladimir Malinov said at a briefing at the Council of Ministers.

Malinov stated that he had spoken with representatives of the electricity distribution companies, who committed to restoring electricity access to all affected households by the end of the day.

Of these 2,549 households, fewer than 2,000 are active electricity users, according to distribution companies’ data. The remainder are accounts tied to secondary residences, vacation properties, or other non-permanently occupied locations, the minister added.
