Addressing supporters of the BSP-United Left coalition in Stara Zagora, former President of Bulgaria (2002-2012) Georgi Parvanov said that seven elections in a row show a severe crisis of political morality and this makes it necessary to think even more radically about reforming the political system. The former President was giving his support for the leader of the list of candidates for MPs of the BSP-United Left in Stara Zagora, Dragomir Stoynev

According to Parvanov, there is a severe crisis of statehood and in the United Left there are people who know what how to run a state and how institutions work, and they can be very useful.

Georgi Parvanov pointed out that the unification of the Left started in Stara Zagora and expressed confidence that the socialists will be a factor in the next parliament, despite the skeptical voices that mere addition will not yield results. "We have to start from somewhere and then slowly accumulate experience, knowledge and opportunities," he stressed.
