site.btaDeputy Foreign Minister Shekerletova Receives Credentials of New Salvadoran Ambassador

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Elena Shekerletova met the newly appointed Ambassador of El Salvador to Sofia, Hector Enrique Calderon, and received copies of his credentials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry's press service reported on Tuesday. The Embassy will be based in the Turkish capital, Ankara.

Shekerletova congratulated Calderon on his appointment and expressed confidence that his work in Bulgaria will contribute to promoting contacts and cooperation between the two countries in various areas of mutual interest.

The two discussed the current situation and the prospects for further strengthening the relations of friendship and cooperation between their countries. The need to intensify the bilateral political dialogue and promote trade and economic ties between Bulgaria and El Salvador was also on the agenda.
