The Prosecutors Chamber of the Supreme Judicial Council will discuss on Monday the subject of reopening the procedure for the election of the Prosecutor General in connection with the decision of the Constitutional Court of July 26, 2024.
In addition, the Chamber will discuss an amendment to the timetable for the election of the Prosecutor General.
The agenda includes the adoption of a draft decision amending and supplementing the Rules for the election of the President of the Supreme Court of Cassation, the President of the Supreme Administrative Court and the Prosecutor General.
Following the dismissal of Ivan Geshev as Prosecutor General, Borislav Sarafov was appointed acting Prosecutor General.
