On Friday, President Rumen Radev designated Bulgarian National Audit Office Vice-President Goritsa Grancharova-Kozhareva as the next caretaker prime minister.

This is how leaders of parliamentary groups and MPs reacted.

Boyko Borissov of GERB: "If the President trusts her, GERB wishes her success. The role of the parties is to win the elections."

Delyan Peevski of Movement for Rights and Freedoms: I don't know Goritsa Grancharova-Kozhareva, let's see what she will do. I am convinced that there will be an attempt to control the Interior Ministry and the whole e-government.

Kiril Petkov of Continue the Change- Democratic Bulgaria: For me it is very important whether Grancharova-Kozhareva will work for fair elections in Bulgaria, and this will be evident from her choice of interior minister. If Kalin Stoyanov or Atanas Ilkov or Stoyan Temelakiev remain within the Ministry, for me it will mean that Delyan Peevski appointed the ministers in this cabinet.

Kostadin Kostadinov of Vazrahdane: Goritsa Grancharova-Kozhareva is not fit to lead the country. Kostadinov was adamant that Grancharova-Kozhareva cannot be considered an independent factor and cannot take decisions on her own.

Stanislav Balabanov of There Is Such a People: If we roll back the tape, we will see that Kozhareva was elected Vice President of the Audit Office with the votes of GERB and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms. Balabanov said is hoping for impartial attitude and good organization of the elections, even though President Rumen Radev had little choice when it came to choosing a person for the office.

Borislav Gutsanov of BSP for Bulgaria: If the President believes that Goritsa Grancharova-Kozhareva can act as caretaker prime minister, we assume that she will form the required cabinet. What matters to us is to have fair and honest elections because this is the main function of the caretaker cabinet."

Dzhevdet Chakarov, former MP of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms and now an independent: Given that the group of the authentic MRF could not participate in Thursday's consultations with the President, we would like to express our position. Yesterday and today, we call for fair and just elections. This is in the interest of the whole public. We will make sure there is no linkage as seen in the previous caretaker prime minister.
