site.btaCabinet Appoints Four New Regional Governors

The Council of Ministers appointed four regional governors of Kardzhali, Plovdiv, Targovishte and Haskovo. By the same governmental decision, the previous governors were dismissed, the Government press office said here on Wednesday.

Resmi Murad is appointed Governor of Kardzhali Region. He has a background in finance and has been mayor of Ardino municipality since 2007.

Hristina Yancheva takes over as Governor of Plovdiv Region. She has many years of managerial experience. Since 2016, Yancheva has been the Rector of the Agricultural University in Plovdiv.

Mehmed Ataman is appointed Governor of Haskovo Region. He was a member of the 42nd and 43rd National Assemblies. Former deputy governor of Haskovo Region, as well as deputy mayor of Haskovo municipality.

Gyursel Hasanov, an economist, is appointed Governor of Targovishte Region. Hasanov has many years of managerial experience, and since May 2018, he has been the director of a municipal company in Targovishte.
