site.btaBSP's Ninova: "Memorandum of Disgrace"
Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) leader Korneliya Ninova called a proposed memorandum on the government priorities, put forward by Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) a "memorandum of disgrace" for its authors. CC-DB announced the proposal on Tuesday.
Ninova said: "The parties that were going to scrape off GERB, that arrested Borissov and were going to change the government model, now offer the same model to Borissov, offer 50% of the State. The memorandum is a confession that the 'assemblage' [in the government between CC-DB and GERB] exists only to divide up the state and control it through regulators and the Supreme Judicial Council. There is not a single line in it for policies, for the people, for healthcare."
Ninova also said that the memorandum is "a slap in the face" for Boyko Borissov. "If GERB agree to negotiate this memorandum, it would be that he [Borissov] has put his party to its knees before CC-DB. The only outcome is a two-in-one election," she said meaning simultaneous European and national elections.
