The prosecution service entered the private club "SS" in the capital's "Geo Milev" district, associated with Martin Bozhanov, a BTA reporter saw on Wednesday. Police were on the scene.
The club became known after Bozhanov’s murder. The prosecutor's office said on Tuesday that since 2023 it has been working on pre-trial proceedings for an organized criminal group, with which Bozhanov was involved, set up to pressure magistrates, for property fraud and money laundering. Work on the case began after the prosecutor's office in late 2022 received a file from the state directorate for combating organized crime, initiated by an alert which mentioned the existence of such a club.
Earlier in the day Parliament decided that an ad-hoc committee will be assembled to verify all the facts and circumstances related to the activities of the group around Martin Bozhanov.
