Defence Minister Todor Tagarev Thursday met with representatives of US companies from the information and communication technology, cyber security, defence and security sectors, the Defence Ministry said in a press release.
The meeting was part of the two-day visit to Bulgaria of a delegation of 15 leading American companies, organized by the American-Central European Business Association (ACEBA) and the US Department of Commerce.
Tagarev briefed the American business representatives on the main projects for the modernization of the Bulgarian Armed Forces.
The two sides shared their views on the development of industrial cooperation between Bulgaria and the US in the defence sector.
The meeting was attended by the US Ambassador to Bulgaria Kenneth Merten, Chief of Defence Admiral Emil Eftimov, Deputy Defence Minister Stanimir Georgiev and TEREM Holding Executive Director Kalin Dimitrov.
