site.bta GERB-UDF Names Anton Hekimyan as Sofia Mayoral Candidate
Anton Hekimyan is the Sofia mayoral candidate of the GERB-UDF coalition in the October 29 local elections, Tomislav Donchev MP of GERB told reporters on Monday. The coalition has filed documents for the registration of its candidates for the capital's mayor, borough mayors and municipal councillors.
Hekimyan said he was invited to run for mayor by GERB leader Boyko Borissov last week.
Anton Hekimyan is a Bulgarian journalist. He was director of news, current affairs and sports at bTV Media Group between December 2020 and September 22, 2023. He started as an intern at bTV in 2004.
