The average life expectancy for the entire population of the country, calculated for the 2020 – 2022 period, was 71.9 years, and compared to the previous period (2019 - 2021), it decreased by 1.7 years, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) reported. The average life expectancy for men was 68.3 years, while for women it was 75.8 years.
