Traffic is heavy at some of the border crossings with Romania for trucks and cars on Sunday morning, Border Police reported.

On the border with Romania, traffic is intense at the border crossing points Vidin and Kardam at the exit for trucks and cars. The border authorities recommend the use of alternative routes.

Due to the low level of the Danube, the ferry platform at Oryahovo is not yet operational.

A temporary traffic organisation is in place due to the overhaul of the Bulgarian section of the Danube bridge at Ruse. Traffic is in one lane and is regulated by traffic lights.

On the border with Greece, traffic is normal at all border crossing points.

In view of the significantly increased number of Romanian tourists travelling to and from Greece passing through the Kulata and Makaza checkpoints, travellers are advised to use alternative crossing points at the Bulgarian-Greek border which are less congested and allow faster crossing.

On the borders with Serbia and Turkiye, traffic is normal at all border crossing points.

On the border with North Macedonia, traffic is also normal at all border crossing points except Gyueshevo, where crossing may take longer.
