Traffic is intense at some border crossing checkpoints with Romania, Serbia and Turkiye on Sunday morning, Border Police said.

On the border with Romania, traffic is heavy at the Kardam checkpoint at the exit for trucks. Traffic is also intense for cars at the entry and exit of all checkpoints.

Due to major repairs on the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge at Ruse, traffic is temporarily reorganized in one lane, regulated by traffic lights. In addition to Ruse, drivers in the region can also head to the border crossing points of Silistra, Kardam, Durankulak, Kainardzha and Krushari.

On the border with Greece, traffic is normal at all border crossing points. Due to the increased crossings at the Kulata and Makaza and the large number of Romanian tourists travelling to and from Greece, travellers are advised to use alternative crossing points at the Bulgarian-Greek border, which are less congested and allow faster crossing. Only cars and vans are allowed to pass through the border crossing points Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad.

On the border with Serbia, traffic is heavy at Kalotina at the entrance for cars.

On the border with North Macedonia, traffic is normal at all border crossing points.

On the border with Turkiye, traffic is heavy at Kapitan Andreevo for entry and exit of cars.
