PM Borissov: Commercial
Register Crisis
Resolved
Sofia, August 21 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov Tuesday
said the Commercial Register crisis had been resolved. He was
given a hearing at an extraordinary sitting of Parliament on the
security of electronic databases stored by the Registry Agency
and the Justice Ministry and the responsibility for a recent
Commercial Register crisis.
A technical glitch caused the Commercial Register and the
Register of Non-Profit Legal Entities to crash on August 10.
Partial operation was restored on August 15.
Borissov said the database as at July 17 had been restored to
date and restoration was continuing. "We have been assured by
the State e-Government Agency that the Commercial Register may
be fully functional by the end of the week," he said. Data
recovery from the faulty disks is going on successfully.
The problems, their scope and causes were known within 24 hours
after the crash, said the Prime Minister, adding that the
priority from now on will be to meet the highest standards of
network and information security.
