Senior Commissioner Stanimir Kaloferov was appointed Director of the Regional Directorate of the Interior in Plovdiv by order of the Interior Minister Daniel Mitov, the Plovdiv Police said on Thursday.
Deputy Interior Minister Lyubomir Yosifov and Deputy Secretary General of the Interior Ministry Miroslav Rashkov emphasised that the optimization process in the ministry will continue, with the goal of ensuring high professionalism among the staff. They both agreed that the implementation of the ministry's priorities so far puts the Plovdiv Regional Directorate in one of the top places and expressed confidence that the new director will continue to successfully build on the results achieved so far.
Kaloferov thanked Mitov for the trust he has placed in him to take over the leadership of the police in Plovdiv. He stated that his efforts will be focused on teamwork and strict adherence to the implementation of the leading priorities of the Ministry, including combating drug crimes and reducing road traffic injuries.
Kaloferov was born in 1985 in Pazardzhik. He has a higher legal education and began his career in the Interior Ministry in 2005. During his 20-year experience, he has successively held various executive and management positions in the structures of the Regional Directorate of the Interior Ministry, where he held the position of Head at the General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime in Plovdiv.
