Bulgaria's Female Athlete of 2024 Plamena Mitkova won the international long jump competition ISTAF Indoor Berlin 2025 in the German city on Saturday. She reached 6.85 metres on her fourth attempt to secure the gold medal.

Germany's Mikaelle Assani finished second with 6.80 metres, while Pauline Hondema from the Netherlands was third with 6.73.

The competition was held under the experimental new rules, according to which the rebound zone was 40 centimeters instead of the traditional 20.

In the traditional measurement with a rebound zone of 20 centimetres Mitkova finished second with a personal best record of 6.7 metres, Assani was first with 6.71 and Hondema - third with the same result as the Bulgarian.
