Zhecho Stankov was nominated for energy minister in the proposed cabinet of GERB-UDF on Wednesday.
Stankov was born in Burgas on August 4, 1982. He holds a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Regensburg, Germany. He has worked as a marketing director as well as a consultant on energy projects, according to information on the official website of GERB.
Stankov is co-founder and secretary of the Bulgarian Compressed Natural Gas Association. Stankov was chairman of the Bulgarian Energy Holding, as well as deputy energy minister in Boyko Borissov's second cabinet (2014-2017).
