site.btaMinister Zapryanov Takes Part in Ukraine Defence Contact Group Meeting

Bulgaria’s caretaker Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov took part in the 25th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group at the level of Ministers of Defence at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany on Thursday, Zapraynov’s Ministry’s press service said.

In his address, Minister Zapryanov said that, in accordance with the decisions of Bulgaria’s National Assembly, this country remains consistent in its support for Ukraine and its Euro-Atlantic integration. He reaffirmed Bulgaria's commitment to unity and solidarity with its allies and partners within the US-led Ukraine Defense Contact Group in response to the most significant European security crisis in the past two years.

Zapryanov was accompanied by the Chief of Defence, Admiral Emil Eftimov.
