site.btaVazrazhdane Supports Trump’s Claims to Canada, Panama Canal, Calls for Macedonia, Southern Bessarabia to Join Bulgaria

In a Facebook post, Kostadin Kostadinov, leader of the nationalist Vazrazhdane party, said that US President-elect Donald Trump's ideas regarding Canada and Greenland are justified and suggested that Bulgaria could adopt a similar approach for North Macedonia and Southern Bessarabia in Ukraine.

Kostadinov’s post reads: "Trump's claims to Canada are completely justified. There is nothing more logical or normal than for two countries with a shared history, shared origin, common language, and, to a large extent, a common people, like the USA and Canada, to become one country. The same applies to Trump's claims regarding the Panama Canal. After all, the USA was the first owner of the canal's land, they built it, and they owned it until 1979. That is why Vazrazhdane fully supports the claims of the newly elected American president. The same applies to Macedonia. There is nothing more logical than for two countries with a shared history, shared origin, common language, and common people to become one state. A similar case exists with Southern Bessarabia. It was part of the Bulgarian state for over 450 years, Bulgarians have been the indigenous population of the region (since the 6th century), and to this day, they form the majority of its population. In comparison, Ukraine has held Southern Bessarabia for only 34 years. Therefore, there is nothing more logical than the unification of Bulgaria and Macedonia into a single state, as well as the return of Southern Bessarabia to Bulgaria. Ukraine is disintegrating, and at the future peace congress where the fate of the so-called Ukrainian statehood will be decided, Bulgaria must assert its claims to Bulgarian Bessarabia."
