site.btaDefence Institute "Professor Tsvetan Lazarov" Becomes National Military Airworthiness Authority

The Council of Ministers amended and supplemented its Decree No 54 of 2010 on the adoption of the structural regulations of the Ministry of Defence and on the designation of structures directly subordinate to the Minister of Defence.

The new text assigns the Defence Institute "Professor Tsvetan Lazarov" to perform activities as the National Military Airworthiness Authority (NMAA) and increases their staff by 3 full-time positions.

The number of staff of the Ministry of Defence is accordingly reduced by 3 members under the Ministry of Defence Establishment Regulations.

The amendments will enter into force on December 1, 2024.
