site.btaA Movie in Hand Festival Award Ceremony to Be Held on November 30 in Shumen

The award ceremony of the 9th A Movie in Hand Festival will take place here on November 30, said the Dobri Voynikov - 1856 People's Community Centre on Tuesday. A total of 57 films will be competing for the festival's grand prize, which will traditionally be presented by Shumen Mayor Hristo Hristov.

The main competition categories are for the best feature film, animation, documentary film, and social-themed film. There are also categories for children's films and films related to adventure, sports or extreme experiences, said the local community centre.

The festival has no age, national or thematic restrictions; the only condition is that the films are shot with a mobile device and do not exceed 5 minutes.

A master class and discussion with the participation of producer, director and cameraman Dimitar Gochev will be held before the award ceremony.

A Movie in Hand Festival is organized by the Dobri Voynikov - 1856 People's Community Centre and the Madarski Konnik Cinema Club in Shumen, and is held under the auspices of the Culture Ministry, with the assistance of Shumen Municipality, the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts, and Shumen University.
