site.btaBSP’s Atanas Atanasov: Enough Cheap PR Moves, Time to Think Like Statesmen
"It is evident that for some parties in the 51st National Assembly the election campaign is not over," said on Bulgaria ON AIR Atanas Atanasov, MP of BSP - United Left in the new Parliament. As an example of such a party he gave Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) and their desire for a sanitary cordon around MRF-New Beginning leader Delyan Peevski. "Who wants a cordon – the people who have spent nine months in government and corrupted the Constitution together with the MRF. This is just a cheap PR move," the socialist explained, commenting that it was the changes in the Constitution that led to this disgraceful way of conducting elections. "Many people will continue to suspect the vote was rigged," he said. Atanasov pointed out that even before CC-DB existed in political life, BSP had a decision at its Congress not to enter into a coalition with GERB and MRF.
The socialist explained that there is no normality in politics, nor a will to form a political cabinet.
