site.btaCareer Forum in Sofia Highlights Education, Entrepreneurship As Keys to Innovation in Bulgaria
Innovation, education, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Bulgaria were discussed by participants in the "Innovation: Made in Bulgaria" panel at the second Bulgaria Across Five Oceans career forum at Inter Expo Centre in Sofia on Saturday. The event is organized by the Bulgaria Wants You platform.
Vladislav Kostov, Digital Sales Director at Shelly Group, said education is constantly evolving and will continue to do so. He noted that new technologies demand greater adaptability and fast learning, making adaptability key in today’s workplace.
BESCO CEO Mario Milev stressed that ideas and innovations are often confused but are not the same. He added that innovation has historically followed a similar pattern: it is challenging at first, but this is what drives long-term change.
Sofia Tech Park CEO Todor Mladenov said Bulgaria has the potential to be a recognizable leader in innovation. He highlighted growing entrepreneurial awareness, increasing willingness to take risks among young people, and improving access to education and resources. He also emphasized the importance of research teams and science-driven development for future innovation.
Overall, participants agreed that sustainable innovation depends on a mix of education, scientific research, entrepreneurial culture, and adaptability to rapidly changing technologies.
The event again brings together Bulgarians from the country and abroad, leading companies, visionaries and opinion leaders to present real opportunities for building a career and a life in Bulgaria, the platform told BTA earlier.
BTA is hosting its own booth at the career forum for the second year running. This year, BTA will spotlight BTA School, its internship and career development unit.
The media partners of Bulgaria Across Five Oceans are Nova Broadcasting Group, Darik Radio and BTA.
