Blue Bulgaria top-of-the-list candidate in Haskovo Tsveta Kirilova on Wednesday said that the party is in favour of limiting the role of the State in trade turnover. She specified that the State should not be a trader and a large investor, but only a regulator and guarantor of the rights and freedoms of citizens. "More State in the economy means more deficits, more debts, higher taxes, higher inflation, more corruption, less private investment, lower economic growth and lower incomes for the people", Kirilova argued.

"Less State in the economy means accumulation of fiscal reserve, lower debts, lower taxes, lower inflation, killing big corruption, more private investment, higher economic growth and higher income for the people", Kirilova summarized.

She noted however that Blue Bulgaria is for strengthening the State in its main areas of responsibility, including to guarantee defence and national security, as well as mass access to quality education and health care.

"We do not propose reducing the social role of the State; quite the opposite, a complete reformatting of the current ineffective and outrageous pseudo-social policies", Kirilova said.
