Vazrazhdane opened its election campaign on Friday with a procession and a meeting with party supporters in Blagoevgrad. Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov told journalists that his party does not forecast its election results, because the results are in the hands of Bulgarian voters. Kostadinov urged Bulgarians to vote.
Kostadinov also said that the party will fight for the first place in Parlaiment. Asked whether he expected a regular government to be formed after the October 27 elections, he said that "if GERB, Peevski's MRF [Movement for Rights and Freedoms] and CC-DB [Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria] have more than 120 MPs, they have already come to an understanding". In his words, the only chance "for this plan for the continued destruction of the Bulgarian state to be destroyed is for Vazrazhdane to get as many MPs as possible".
Candidates for MPs from Vazrazhdane in Blagoevgrad also participated in the opening of the campaign.
