An exhibition of works by young artists from Ukraine was opened during a ceremony at Sofia's Palace of Children in Sofia, where the Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad recognized children and young people for literary, musical and drawing artistry in three competitions held in 2024.

Some of four hundred drawings that were submitted in the competition "Bulgaria in My Dreams" went on display. The exhibition was part of the ceremony, and through it the talent of Bulgarian children from different parts of the world was highlighted.

In addition to first, second and third place awards and incentive prizes, the jury also awarded two special prizes for technique and precision to 13-year-old Ivan Mitev and 17-year-old Viкtoria Tashshi, both from the Bulgarian Cultural and Educational Center Az Buki Vedi in Bolhrad, Ukraine.

A drawing contest, Bulgaria in My Dreams, a children's and youth literary contest named after Stefan Gechev and a singing contest named Lyubka Rondova are part of the initiatives of the Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad to preserve and promote the Bulgarian language and culture among Bulgarians abroad. The competitions aim to stimulate the study and knowledge of Bulgarian cultural heritage, as well as to promote a sense of national identity among young Bulgarians living abroad.
