Taekwondo athlete Kimia Alizadeh, who won a bronze medal for Iran in the 57 kg category at the Olympic Games Rio 2016, is now competing for Bulgaria. Alizadeh is currently training intensively in the Olympic Village, preparing for her August 8 debut at the Paris Games.

Alizadeh, a gold medallist for Bulgaria in the 62-kilogram category at Euro 2024 in Belgrade, pledged to deliver her best performance at the Games.

The athlete, alongside her coaching team, engages in rigorous training, driven by the ambition to clinch her second Olympic gold. She triumphed at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing a decade ago.

On Monday, at the Olympic Village, Bulgarian Taekwondo Federation President Slavi Binev provided encouragement to the athlete, her personal coach Davoud Etminani, and the national team coach Farzad Zolghadri.
