A total of 209 fires have been extinguished in the country over the past 24 hours, and three people have been injured, reported the General Directorate of Fire Safety and Protection of the Population. Information is current as of 6 am on Saturday.
A total of 43 fires caused direct material damage, of which: 16 in residential buildings; 3 in auxiliary or temporary buildings; 11 in vehicles; 2 in forest massifs; 2 in agriculture; 1 in open spaces in urban areas; 1 in outdoor facilities; as well as 7 others.
There were 166 fires that did not cause material damage, of which: 100 in dry grass, forest litter and bushes; 2 in stubble; 60 in waste; 4 others.
A total of 31 rescue activities and assistance operations were carried out in the past 24 hours.
There were 20 bogus calls registered.
