site.btaPM Glavchev: Whether Regular Cabinet Can Be Formed under Second or Third Mandate Depends on Parties
Speaking to Bulgarian reporters in Washington, D.C, on Tuesday ahead of the NATO Summit, caretaker Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dimitar Glavchev said that whether a regular government can be formed under the second or third mandate depends on the political parties.
"I believe that it would be good if they put efforts into forming a government under the second or third mandate," Glavchev said. He stressed that it is important for Bulgaria to have a regular government that is "pro-European and pro-Atlantic".
The caretaker Prime Minister refused to comment on the situation in the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF). "This is an internal issue for the MRF. I am not familiar with the situation in the party," he added.
Glavchev confirmed that he is ready to remain caretaker Prime Minister if the parties in Parliament fail to elect a regular government.
